It’s been a while, hasn’t it? If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know what I’ve been up to. I’ve spent much of the year working on growing my body of work and producing paintings.
This little Pygmy Owl is an example of the kind of work I’ve been doing. I’ve been blessed with a couple of commissions and I’m doing some illustration work now, too!
But my other passion is pattern design!
It’s taken the better part of a year, but I’ve learned how to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create designs for products, stationery, and fabric. And that’s how this little calendar was produced. I’ll create a post to describe my process but long story short: I painted the floral elements in watercolor and the hummingbirds were painted in acrylics. I scanned all the parts in and assembled the image in Illustrator. And now I want to share it with you!
This desktop calendar is available for download as a gift for my newsletter subscribers. Get your calendar here! If you were a subscriber in the past, you’ll need to sign up again as that list is long gone.
One another note, I’m planning to return to regular blogging and I want to start producing videos soon. I’m working on creating my first Skillshare class and I have so much I want to share with you. If you’re someone who started following me long ago, I’m so grateful that you’re still here! I’d love to hear from you.
In the meantime, happy summer!
